I saw a new 'Ron Sherry' video on the web last night and Ron was talking about how his boat did'nt have any side stay adjusters on it, because the combination of the new mast he's now building and a variety of available planks and sails he uses along with a low profile front runner to bring the nose of the boat down, has ment that he no longer has to adjust stay lengths, he just moves the mast base fore and aft to change his tuning. He also said that having the nose on the boat lower ment that the steering and suspension geometry was more stable and less variable as the plane of the bottom of the boat with the ice was nearly parallel. Any comments on that?

Is the steerring chock modified or the Steering Runner? I have seen Rubber balls used in place of springs to lower the front end. Can someone explain the finer points of this theory?
